Vanessa and Daniel have had a stay of execution after Big Brother decided that the "fragile" state of the contestants means that the trauma of losing one of them would be ill-advised at the moment.
Of course, the news went down particularly well inside the house.
Shell, laminate in hand, ran around like a lunatic until everyone was gathered.
Without pause to take breath and bouncing she gabbled: "Tonight's eviction has been cancelled.
"There will be no nominations next week," she exhaled.
Vanessa and Dan are still up for eviction - they just have a week longer to convince the public they should stay.
"The housemates are continuing to work through their differences and producers wish to give them sufficient time to come to a resolution as a group," said a statement on the Big Brother website.
This leaves some pretty crucial questions hanging over the house.
After Kitten's removal, Big Brother has had too few people to see out the ten weeks, but now they have too many.
Don't rule out a double eviction or a midweek special.
But there is a simpler solution. If things cannot be resolved between Emma and Victor reports indicate that one - or both - will be leaving the house.
