Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester is being sued by her own mother, following claims that she attacked her with a bottle.
Constance Meester alleges that her daughter threw her to the ground and repeatedly "hit her with a bottle", during an altercation in December of last year.
These claims come just one day after it was reported that Leighton had begun legal action against her 55-year-old mother, after she allegedly misused money intended for her brother's medical expenses.
Constance, who gave birth to Leighton while in jail for drug smuggling, is understood to have used the $7,500 per month, sent by the actress for her brother Lex, on botox, hair extensions and plastic surgery.
It is now believed that Constance, who is unemployed, has filed a countersuit against her actress daughter over the alleged attack.
She also claims that the $7,500 per month was not intended for her son's medical care, but for all the help she has given her daughter throughout her career.
Earlier this year, Constance was given a restraining order after making death threats against a Californian woman and her young son.
Leighton has previously stood by her mother, telling Grazia magazine last year that she was an "inspiration" to her:
"My mother Connie inspires me. She's an amazing woman.
"When I was a kid I wanted to be an actress and she completely backed me. She is her own person, very eccentric, very individual."
