On Friday 28 October, Stacey Solomon will join the hundreds of thousands of people all over the UK who will be taking part in Breast Cancer CampaignÂ’s biggest, pinkest fundraising event, Wear it Pink.
Businesses, schools, colleges, and individuals throughout the country are encouraged to Wear it Pink and donate £2 each to fund Campaign’s innovative world-class breast cancer research.
Last year around hundreds of thousands took part in wear it pink raising a staggering £2.4million for breast cancer research to help improve survival rates for the 48,000 people still being diagnosed every year.
Stacey Solomon, Wear it Pink ambassador said
"I am delighted to support Wear it Pink for Breast Cancer Campaign. Beating breast cancer is a cause really close to my heart as when my Auntie was diagnosed it affected our whole family.
"Anyone can take part and no matter how pink you go, your £2 donation will help raise money for Campaign to continuing researching the cure for breast cancer.
"With one in eight women diagnosed in their lifetime, we all have a reason to Wear it Pink and be part of the cure."
Many other celebrities are also supporting Wear it Pink day 2011 including former model and chef, Lorraine Pascale and breast cancer survivors Linda Nolan and Coronation Street's Sally Dynevor.
Breast Cancer Campaign challenge you to Wear it Pink on Friday 28 October, at work, at home or at school and help save lives.
