The latest monthly Fifa world rankings show England moving up one spot and now standing in sixth position. Spain continues to retain the top spot, followed by Uruguay replacing Germany in second place.

Reports show that England is considered one of the stronger teams for the Euro 2012 and stand as the fourth best international team in Europe. 

Fifa world rankings are compiled monthly on the basis of ranking points accumulated by results, the importance of the matches played and the ranking of the opposing team.
