England cricket team has retained the Ashes after they drew with Australia in the final day of the third Test, on Monday, 5th August. The rain at Old Trafford dashed Australia’s hopes of securing a win.
The decision to end on a draw was agreed on at 4.40pm yesterday.
There was some play yesterday, although the predictions for the weather didn’t seem too good for the final day of the third Test.
Prior to this, England won the first two Tests and there are two Tests left to play with regards to the Ashes 2013. These Tests are both expected to take place this month. This is in relation to Australia’s tour of England.
The fourth Test is expected to take place at Chester-le-Street with the fifth Test in London.
