We haven’t seen this in 27 years; England has finally completed their first series of victory in India. After winning in Mumbai and Kolkata and losing in Ahmedabad, Jonathan Trott and Ian Bell worked together to earn a draw in Nagpur, which helped them mark a historic achievement.
On day five of the fourth test, England scored 356 runs ahead on 352-4, which resulted to an early draw. Celebrations on the England balcony were seen after the historic game. Hugs all round as England wins in India for the first time since 1984-85.
Trott and Bell, who posted their highest test scores of the year, were part of the side in January, which was bowled out for 72 against Pakistan.
Determined not to end the year on a sour note, the Warwickshire pair continued to play in a defiant manner in the final day in Nagpur where they timed the ball to perfection.
