Official figures have revealed that employment rates in Britain are at they’re all time-high. Employment stats reached 30million while unemployment rates fell to 2.53million according to the recent news.
There are also now only one million youths who are unemployed and the best of all, the pay average for workers has increased by up to 2per cent year-on-year.
Employment Minister Mark Hoban called this development a “real landmark.”
He said, as quoted by the Mail Online: “Despite the tough economic times, the private sector continues to create jobs and our welfare reforms are encouraging people to return to work.”
According to Hoban, the private sector has contributed a lot to this development by employing at least 80per cent of UK’s workforce. It is estimated that the private sector managed to create one million jobs. State workers on the other hand, decreased by 630,000.
However, experts are thought to be confused with the numbers. Although they are at their all-time high, experts revealed that many workers are doing part-time jobs although they desperately need full-time jobs.
John Salt, director of the website Totaljobs.com told the Mail Online: “While under-employment remains a concern, indicated by the very high levels of part-time work, there are encouraging signs that we are beginning to turn a corner.
“Everyone should greet the figures with a sigh of relief.”
