Amy Nuttall, who plays Chloe Atkinson on Emmerdale, has got her own back for the cheating ways of her ex and co-star Ben Freeman.

The couple's four-year relationship broke up last month after Freeman cheated on her with a 19-year-old fan.

To enact her revenge the soap stunner let herself into Freeman's Leeds apartment - accompanied by her mother - and proceeded to slash his clothes, destroy all photos of the couple and scrawl all over his most prized possessions - his limited edition trainers.

"She went into the flat when she knew Ben was going to be away," a friend of the Emmerdale actress told The Sun.

"She cut up a load of his expensive clothes with a big pair of scissors, then made a beeline for his precious trainers," the source added, explaining: "They're his favourite possession."

Nuttall and Freeman, who plays mechanic Scott Windsor on the soap, got together after an Emmerdale plotline saw them lock lips in a passionate embrace.

They broke up after he had sex in a car with fan, Jenny Woodcock. Nuttall found the fan's mobile number on his phone bill and then was forced to undergo the indignity of the girl running a kiss and tell story in the national press.

But soap fans can relax, an Emmerdale spokesperson has gone on the record saying the couple are "still talking to each other at work and behaving professionally".
