Emmerdale scored big at the recent TV Choice Awards, picking up three awards while its BBC rival EastEnders landed the top prize of Best Soap - in its 25th anniversary year.
At the star-studded event, Coronation Street, which celebrates 50 years on the screen in December, picked up a special honorary award for its decades of service.
Alexander Armstrong hosted this year's awards which took place at London's Dorchester Hotel.
While BBC 1980s cop drama 'Ashes To Ashes' scooped Best Drama, the coveted Best New Drama award went to an American series - hit musical comedy 'Glee'.
The night also revealed the fears and excitement brewing around the upcoming live episode of Corrie to mark its anniversary.
William Roache, who plays stalwart Ken Barlow, said: "We'll get through. We're used to working in short spurts, so to do an hour live is frightening."
On the reality TV front, 'Britain's Got Talent' beat out 'Dancing On Ice', 'Strictly Come Dancing' and 'The X Factor' to be crowned Best TV Talent Show.
