Emma Bunton is grieving after her partner's father died on Christmas Day.

The Spice Girl, who has been dating boyfriend Jade Jones for over 10 years, was left devastated by the news.

The couple were celebrating with 18-month-old son Beau over the festive period when Jones' father suffered a fatal heart attack.

A source told the Mirror: "The family are devastated and still in mourning. Both Jade and Emma are shell-shocked. Jade's father was on holiday with his family when he suffered a heart attack on Christmas morning.

"The family have asked for their privacy to be respected during this sensitive time."

Jones, who fronted boybands Damage and Cherry BlackStone is said to be "inconsolable".

The former singer, now a chef at Claridge's in London, stepped out of the limelight after the birth of his son with the Spice Girl.

Dancing on Ice judge Bunton and Jones learned of his father's shock passing in a phone call to their home in Barnet, Hertforshire.

Jones father was visiting family in his native Jamaica when he suddenly died.
