Sir Elton John won't be getting married in an outlandish outfit, his lover David Furnish claims.
The flamboyant singer - who is famed for his extravagant costumes - has promised Furnish he will tone it down for the long-time lovers' 'wedding' this December.
Furnish is quoted by Britain's Daily Mail newspaper as saying: "Elton's very extravagant, but I don't think a fancy dress outfit is right for our wedding. We want it to be a private, low-key event for close-knit friends and family.
"I'm more for a great celebration than a big party."
Meanwhile, the multi-millionaire singer has vowed to help supermodel Kate Moss' boyfriend, rocker Pete Doherty, kick his drug addictions once and for all.
The star - who once battled his own drug hell - has a history of stepping in to help celebrities combat their demons including Robbie Williams and Donatella Versace.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Elton loves Pete's music. He's left messages of support with Pete's management and an open offer for Pete to call him or go and stay with him any time."
Elton also wants to perform with Pete at the Live 8 concert in London.
The source revealed: "He has been trying to persuade Sir Bob Geldof that it's a good idea."
