After his publicist had confirmed that Dustin Hoffman was suffering from cancer, it was revealed that the 75-year-old had been successfully treated for the disease and is said to be feeling great. Jodi Gogglieb, the publicist, said that the cancer was detected early and was “surgically cured.”
According to People magazine, the Oscar-award winning actor will undergo treatments to prevent the cancer from returning.
Hoffman, who was born in Los Angeles, California in 1937, had recently finished production on Jon Favreau’s Chef and is scheduled to start filming Roald Dahl’s Esio Trot later this year.
Hoffman is the latest Hollywood actor who has recently suffered from cancer. The list includes Michael Douglas who is in remission from throat cancer. Angelina Jolie, on the other hand, underwent preventive double mastectomy, to lessen her chances of developing breast cancer that killed her mother.
