The American stock index Dow Jones has shot to its highest rate on Tuesday, 5th March, during trading. The Dow Jones Industrial Average reached a new record level since prior to the world financial crisis.
This could mean good news for the country as far as investments is concerned. Prior to this, the Dow reached around 14,198 less than 6 years ago in 2007.
According to some reports, certain banks may have played a part in helping to promote stocks and shares.
The news comes following budget concerns in Washington with regards to the fiscal crisis.
Aside from the US, China reported an economic growth rate target of 7.5per cent on the same day as the Dow reaching the new level.
Dow Jones put simply is a stock market index made by the co-founder of the Wall Street Journal, Charles Dow. The indices was set-up in 1896.
