The eldest son of Hollywood star Michael Douglas is facing life in prison after pleading guilty to drug trafficking charges.
According to reports, Cameron Douglas, 31, admitted to possession of methamphetamine and cocaine with the intent supply
Douglas, was arrested at the upmarket Hotel Gansevoort in Manhattan in July 2009 on the drug charges after police officers found him in possession of 0.5 pounds (0.23 kg) of the addictive drug methamphetamine (often referred to as "crystal meth" or "ice").
Speaking at the Manhattan federal court, Cameron Douglas told U.S. District Judge Ronald he started dealing in 2006 when a contact in New York asked him if he could get some drugs.
Douglas, who stared alongside his father and grandfather (Kirk) in 'It Runs in the Family', also admitted to possession of heroin while he was under house arrest for the previous drug charge.
The charges carry a minimum 10-year prison sentence, and up to life behind bars.
Sentencing will take place on April 27.
