It’s official! Disney has announced Frozen sequel.
The announcement was made during the Walt Disney’s annual shareholders meeting today in San Francisco. Meanwhile, on the company’s Twitter page, it was revealed that the first film directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are back on board for the project.
John Lasseter, chief creative officer at Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and DisneyToon Studios, made the announcement with Disney chief Bob Iger.
Lasseter said:“We enjoyed making ‘Frozen Fever’ so much and being back in that world with those characters.
“Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”
Details as to when the production will start or the film will hit the cinemas are yet to be revealed.
The plan to create Frozen 2 wasn’t a difficult plan to make, after all, the movie grossed £1billion at the box office since its release in November 2013 while merchandising and DVD has seen the figure soar.
