Viewers of EastEnders were left wondering if Max Branning messed up his lines during a climactic live episode revolving around the Lucy Beale murder plot. During a live scene, he told Abi: “She knows, she knows whether you killed Lucy.” Some viewers took to Twitter to air their confusion.

On Twitter, Tasha Await said: “Just had to rewind eastenders like 37484 times to find out if max said you or who.”

Samantha Bacchus said: “Well, I didn't have to rewind that a dozen times to figure out what Max said #EELive”

And Abi Nicholson said: “Ok, I've just had to switch subtitles on and rewind to figure out if Max said 'who' or 'you'. What the heck!! #Eastenders”

Meanwhile, a spokesman for EastEnders said that Max got his lines right confirming that the wording in script said: “She knows that you killed Lucy.”
