Dirty Den's double dealing on Albert Square will come to a head soon - just not his own.
Things get serious when Den's wife Chrissie Watts, played by Tracy-Ann Oberman, finds a crafty text message sent from her supposed best mate Kate to her husband.
She decides not to get mad, but to get even.
The hair stylist invites Kate (Jill Halfpenny) to her beauty parlour Sophistikates, but when she sits down to get a fashionable new "do" Chrissie hacks off all of her hair.
"Chrissie is burning with anger, but she doesn't want to break down in tears," an Albert Square insider told The Sun today.
"The first Kate knows of her dastardly plan is when Chrissie hacks off all her hair. They have a huge fight and Den has to split them up."
Jill Halfpenny had to have her hair cut for real in the scene - but enjoyed it nonetheless.
"Jill Loved getting stuck in," the Sun's source explains, adding reassuringly: "Her hair is growing back."
Soap fans will be able to see the scenes played out on Friday July 30th.
