Dynamic daytime duo Richard and Judy are stepping off their sofas to star in an episode of the BBC comedy Little Britain.

Everyone's favourite chat show hosts are following in the footsteps of Sir Elton John, Robbie Williams and George Michael and will have cameo roles in series three of the cult show.

With more than enough experience of the British public so lovingly portrayed by Matt Lucas and David Walliams, the couple are apparently "really excited" about their forthcoming appearances.

"They've been asked to go on Little Britain and have agreed," a spokesman for Richard and Judy confirmed to The Sun.

And while having Richard dress up in drag to join transvestite Emily Howard on her jaunts along the seafront would be a ratings winner, it sadly seems unlikely.

"It's actually more likely that they'll interview Vicky Pollard about having ten babies at the age of 15," the insider said.
