David Bowie’s first album in a decade, The Next Day, has become the fastest-selling album of the year after it sold 94,000 copies this week, according to the Official Chart Company.
The star’s anticipated new studio album is his first chart topper since 1993’s Black Tie White Noise.
David beat previous fast-selling UK album, Biffy Clyro’s Opposites, which sold 71,600 copies in January.
Meanwhile, Justine Timberlake is still at the top of the singles chart with Mirrors.
Emeli Sande’s Our Version of Events slipped one place to Number 3.
Bastille on the other hand, fell three spots to Number 4 with Bad Blood.
Bruno Mars completes the week’s top 5 with his Unorthodox Jukebox.
