Steve McDonald is in for a heart-wrenching shock on Coronation Street when he discovers that Tracy has landed a court injunction against him which prohibits him from contacting his baby daughter.
Steve, played by Simon Gregson, is left gutted when he discovers that the lawyers of Katie Ford's evil character have succeeded in banning the taxi manager from being within 50 yards of little Amy.
Tracy carries out the threat after learning that loving dad Steve used her so he could get close to his daughter.
But Steve is willing to do all it takes to get the order reversed and hatches a devious plot, worthy of Tracy's own scheming, to win the courts over.
"He sets out to get a right pasting from Tracy to land her in trouble and improve his chances of winning custody," a street insider revealed to the Daily Star.
With police sirens wailing and blood pouring from Steve's face after Tracy lashes out, the future of Amy and both Steve and Tracy is left hanging in edgy limbo.
