The foam eggs which were made in China, are the same size and shape as Cadbury's Mini Eggs.
Items cannot contravene safety rules regarding food imitation and according to Trading Standards, these foam eggs are likely to do so.
The concern is that children will mistakingly eat the decorations thinking they are edible.
Due to the fact that they are made of polystyrene and could possibly mould into the shape of the airway if inhaled, they pose a serious choking danger.
Poundland were appreciated for raising this concern and parents are warned to keep these decorations away from children.
