Robbie Williams is recording a dance album - to please his gay fans.
The 'Let Me Entertain You' singer has reportedly hooked up with superstar producer William Orbit, who previously worked with Madonna, to reinvent his sound.
Robbie, who is rejoining former band Take That for their Manchester homecoming show, has also recorded several tunes with the Pet Shop Boys and top New York DJ Mark Ronson.
The 36-year-old wants to make a "Kylie-style" album with more pop and dance tracks, and turned to Orbit - who reinvented Madonna with her 'Ray of Light' album - to mastermind the project.
The singer, who collaborated with Kylie Minogue on their hit 'Kids', wants to debut his new sound under a false name before launching the album in August.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Rob's last album, 'Intensive Care', was much more rocky with heavy guitar riffs. Some people around him felt it might not have appealed so much to his camp pop audience. So he has decided to do a dance album."
