Dancing on Ice latest

Rapper Vanilla Ice is the latest celebrity to leave the ITV1 skating reality show, Dancing on Ice.

The star, whose real name is Robert Matthew Van Winkle, ended up competing against presenter Laura Hamilton in the skate off, despite a well-received first performance.

Regardless of the judges voting unanimously against the 43-year-old, he was gracious in defeat.

He thanked the judges, saying:

"I've had a great time. I never thought I'd be out here. Everything in here is just amazing and I appreciate the whole experience. It's been a great adventure."

The show had a World Tour theme, with contestants visiting Vienna, America, Spain, Ireland, Brazil and the Middle East in their routines.

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan had to step in for host Holly Willoughby at the last minute, as the pregnant presenter had been suffering from migraines.
