While the other Big Brother contestants start to crack under the strain of being chained together, one of the pairings is smoking, giggling and chatting its way through the challenge.

Dan and Nadia snuck out of the bedroom at 1am so the Portuguese pixie could bend Big Brother's ear for 15 minutes, while patient Dan waited outside.

After Nadia had finished her moan in the Diary Room, Dan even suggested a sneaky fag in the garden.

The two chain gang buddies have been getting closer since they were paired up by Big Brother for the task and they sat out in the garden in the early hours discussing life in the house and their hopes and fears for life after the show.

Dan told Nadia: "Whatever happens your friends and family will still love you and think you are fantastic."

As Nadia tried to get to sleep last night gentle Dan even offered her a cuddle - sweeping her into his arms - and the twosome are showing little signs of suffering during this week's challenge, in stark contrast to the other inmates.

But who's to know what will happen when Nadia's beloved tobacco runs out?
