Have you ever dream about working for Facebook? Then, you’ll have to shed all human dignity and respond to this most Californian of queries.
Being clever is not enough to land a job at Facebook. The social network’s human resources staff asks potential employees one tough question to determine the best person to fill a specific position.
Written in the universal language of business-blabber, you will be asked to imagine that day when you felt that you had the best job in the world – if you’ve ever experienced such a thing.
Miranda Kalinowski, Facebook's global head of recruiting, said that the whole HR process focuses on finding people who have what it takes “to share and make the world more open and connected.”
Applicants are therefore asked this question: "On your very best day at work - the day you come home and think you have the best job in the world - what did you do that day?" They are also expected to go through up to five interviews, as the social network aims to “connect to our candidates in the recruiting or interviewing process pretty deeply.”
