'Corrie' villains' secret romance

'Coronation Street' bosses have written in an explosive relationship between builder Charlie Stubbs and catty Tracy Barlow.

It's rumoured the soap opera romance will spark chaos throughout Weatherfield.

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's a piece of genius by the writers pairing the show's biggest bitch with the vilest villain. The antics they will get up to will obviously cause misery and heartache for many people."

Charlie, played by actor Bill Ward, reportedly flirts with Tracy, who is played by Kate Ford, after her lover, Nathan Harding, splits up with her.

They begin a hidden romance which they keep a secret from Tracy's parents until Christmas Day.

The insider revealed: "To Ken and Deirdre's horror Tracy brings Charlie home for Christmas Day dinner. Her parents are appalled that Tracy has started a sexual relationship with Charlie and know that he will bring out the evil worst in their daughter.

"But despite their attempts to persuade Tracy she has made a bad choice of partner, she will revel in the drama and turmoil that her relationship with Charlie has created."
