'Coronation Street' wedding twist

'Coronation Street' bosses have filmed two different endings for Sarah Platt and Jason Grimshaw's wedding to keep viewers guessing.

Producer Steve Frost has revealed he will not choose which ending to broadcast until an hour before the show goes on air.

Ending one will see Jason fleeing from the church, just seconds before saying 'I do' and cruelly telling the blushing bride he can't marry her - in a text message.

The second ending has a much happier feel, as Sarah and Jason exchange vows in front of all their family and friends at Weatherfield Register Office. Even disapproving mothers Gail Platt and Eileen Grimshaw will be there to see the young couple tie the knot.

However, no-one knows which ending will be screened - not even the cast.

Tina O'Brien, who plays Sarah Platt, said: "It's difficult to say which one of them I prefer. Both were enjoyable to film and I'm as mad to know as anyone."

The wedding episode will be broadcast on Monday August 14.
