John Cleese is about to bid his long comedy career behind, as he has set his sights on writing his memoirs.
The actor, now 72, has reportedly agreed to a contract with publisher Random House, who will produce a book on his long stint under the spotlight.
The memoirs is expected to talk about his part in the ‘Monty Python’s Flying Circus’ to his stint in the James Bond franchise as Bond’s gadget assistant.
Cleese, who has already released two relationship advice books in the past, will also talk about his four marriages. Just recently, in August 2012, the actor has tied the knot for the fourth time, this time with 41-year-old Jennifer Wade.
The two are thought to have met in 2009 with the former model apparently admitting to being overwhelmed by their hooking up.
The autobiography is of high regard to the folks at Random House, including Susan Sandon, who told Female First: “Comedy legends' autobiographies really don't come much bigger than John Cleese's.
“Enduringly popular, brilliantly witty and impressively erudite, he is a towering figure in every sense of the word.”
“His memoir will be a major publishing event.”
