Asos, the online fashion retailer, has reported an increase in profits relating to a period of six months. The firm posted a pre-tax profit of £25.7million in regards to the half-year up to February 28th, 2013.
This figure is up from what experts previously predicted, as well as being an increase on the figure for the same period up to February 28th 2012.
Pre-tax profits for the six months relating to 2011 - 2012 stood at £23.1million.
The latest figure comes after sales increased in Britain as well as abroad, the group has reportedly said.
The news comes amid plans for the company to have more websites. This relates to Russia and China. It is understood that with regards to Russia, the website is expected to be launched onWednesday, 1st May, 2013.
The site for China is expected to be launched in October this year.
The news on the profit rise will presumably come as a relief to Asos, as many of Britain’s High Street stores have been suffering recently.
