George Clooney is reportedly taking ex-love Lisa Snowdon to the Oscars.

The heartthrob actor - who has had an on/off relationship with the stunning British TV presenter for five years - was said to be thrilled she will accompany him to the star-studded bash next month.

An insider is quoted in Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "George was very excited when Lisa told him she was flying out to Los Angeles.

"She'll be there to report the Oscars gossip for British television from the red carpet.

"But George thought it would be even more exciting for her to attend the ceremony on his arm.

"He's nominated for three gongs and really wants Lisa to be with him on his big night. George has really missed her recently and wants to show her off."

The actor had been rumoured to be dating 'Desperate Housewives' beauty Teri Hatcher after the pair were spotted dining out together.

However, Clooney's spokesman, Stan Rosenfield, has denied the pair are romancing.

He told website MSNBC: "What is your definition of a date? I spoke with George and this is what he told me, 'The rumour, reports, etc that I've had several dates with Teri Hatcher are not true'."
