Former EastEnders star Chris Parker is returning to the BBC as a children's TV presenter.
The troubled actor, who left the soap in January 2005, is to become one of the faces of CBBC.
Chris, 21, played Alfie Moon's kid brother Spencer in the BBC One soap. He became a favourite with viewers and increased his popularity after appearing on Strictly Come Dancing.
A BBC insider told The Mirror: "Chris has just agreed to front some of the Beeb's children's programmes.
"He'll be working with the likes of Fearne Cotton and he's really excited. He's still got a really strong fanbase and everyone's convinced he'll be a great success."
The BBC reports that the actor will be seen announcing what's up next on the CBBC channel and has signed up to a week of presenting.
Parker had a difficult year after rumours started circulating in the tabloids about his private life, but he has declared that he has bounced back and took part in last month's Comic Relief.
Chris Parker will be on the CBBC channel from April 11th.
