Cheryl Cole has seemingly hit back at Cher Lloyd after her former act, criticised her.
The Girls Aloud star mentored Lloyd on the 2010 series of The X Factor, however, Swagger Jagger singer Cher has repeatedly claimed that Cole has not maintained a relationship.
During an interview with Real Radio North West's Real Breakfast Show, Lloyd was asked if she would consider a duet with the ex-judge, she responded:
"Maybe if she sings live with me.”
When the host, Debbie Ousbey, said that the remarks sounded like a challenge to LloydÂ’s former mentor, Lloyd replied:
"Well it always is nowadays, when you haven't got the nifty little button to press”.
Asked if she was referring to auto-tune, Lloyd laughed, quipping:
"What, oh no? Never, never ever!”
In what appeared to be a response to LloydÂ’s dig at her vocal ability, Cole tweeted:
"Be Careful who you kick on your way up .. They kick you twice as hard on your way back down.. #unappreciationisugly (sic)"
The Promise This singer, who has been working on her third album in the US, then tweeted of her eagerness to get home, writing:
"So excited to get home.. Been homesick since i took off ha!"
