It’s confirmed! Cheryl Cole is returning to theUK X-Factor… as Gary Barlow’s sidekick. But if you think she’s doing it for Simon Cowell, you better think again. Cheryl made it clear the only reason she’s doing it is because her friend, Gary Barlow, asked her to do so. 

 

Following Cowell’s tweet, welcoming Cheryl back to the show, the English recording artist, made it clear that her comeback has nothing to do with Simon.

 

She said: “I saw Simon’s tweet. I’m not doing this for him. I am doing this for Gary as he’s my friend and he asked me to do it.”

 

Cheryl’s tweet made it clear that her feud with Simon is far from over. It can be remembered that Simon fired Cheryl from U.S. version of X-Factor last May. Prior to signing up, Cheryl was a judge for the British TV talent show for two seasons. 

 

Aside from being Barlow’s sidekick, Cheryl is expected to perform on the show. The singer recently released her third solo album and is set to promote her autobiography that will be available next month. 

 

The show is set to return on Saturday.
