If you’re planning a beach holiday on a shoestring budget, there are several countries that you can visit in Europe without burning a hole in your pocket. These are the following:

 

• Bulgaria. This country offers scenic mountains and ancient cities. It is also the home to several great beaches. Although some of them are horribly overdeveloped, you can still find some of the best unspoiled beaches in Europe in this country. The best ones are in the south, a region, which remains fairly underrated. There are also great beaches in Sinemorets, which is very close from the border of Turkey.

 

• Turkey. This country is also a home to some of the greatest beaches in Europe. You can save a lot of money if you stay away from touristy hotspots and stay on underdeveloped areas in Datca Peninsula in the Southwest, the Kaputas Beach, and the stunning area of Faralya in Lycia near the Mediterranean.

 

• Croatia. This country also deserves a spot on your list, as it is the home to some of the most picturesque towns in all of Europe. Some of the best but cheapest beaches can be found in Zlatni Rat and islands of Kornati National Park.
