Charlie and Denise to fix marriage

Charlie Sheen says he and estranged wife Denise Richards are working towards rekindling their romance.

Richards filed for divorce in March after three years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences".

But Sheen told David Letterman's 'The Late Show' their relationship has improved and they are hoping to give their marriage another go.

The 40-year-old actor revealed: "We're working towards getting back together and fixing things."

The couple publicly split just months before stunning actress Denise, 34, gave birth to the couple's second child, Lola.

The couple were married in June 2002. They first met while shooting the movie 'Good Advice' in 2000.

Sheen ended the interview by saying: "Things are really good. Today we have hope. We have a shot."
