Several viewers have complained about drunken performances by the actor James Corden and comedian Jack Whitehall on the Big Fat Quiz of the Year. As they each drank red wine, they made comments about the Queen and Barack Obama which reportedly made other guests on the show uncomfortable.
According to reports, Ofcom has received more than 80 complaints about the program. Other people also complained to Channel 4 over what was seen as disgraceful jokes.
However, there will be replays of the show on Channel 4 which will remain unedited as of time of press.
A spokesman for Channel 4 told The Telegraph: “The repeats were scheduled before the programme was first broadcast and they will be going ahead as planned, after the 9pm water shed with appropriate warnings about their content.”
Aside from comedians James and Jack, viewers were thought to have also complained about Jimmy Carr who made remarks while hosting the quiz.
