Telly bosses have pulled the plug on Celebrity Wrestling after the sight of Lycra-clad C-listers failed to ignite the public's interest.
The grapple-fest, modelled along the lines of cult show Gladiators, will no longer be shown in the prime time slot of early Saturday evening, the Daily Star reports.
Instead, James Hewitt, Kate Lawler, Victoria Silvstedt and the rest of the celebs are likely to be left showing off their moves to a late night audience.
According to the newspaper, the decision was made in an emergency meeting last night following another dismal set of ratings for Saturday's show.
It pulled in only 2.6 million viewers - a fraction of the 7.5 million people who tuned in to watch Christopher Ecclestone and Billie Piper battle aliens in BBC1's Doctor Who.
Meanwhile, royal cad Hewitt, aka Gentleman Jim in the show, has said he fancies Prince Charles' new wife Camilla.
"There's a certain raw appeal," the 47-year-old, who had a five-year relationship with the late Princess Diana while she was still with Charles, told Zoo magazine.
"She's county set and I think that can be quite attractive."
