Jim Carrey has been left devastated after his beloved nephew was killed in a car crash.
The film funnyman immediately jetted back to his native Canada to be with his sister, Rita, after learning her son had died in a freak road accident.
Carrey's nephew, Marty Fournier - who was described as a "beautiful, devoted and loving son" - died of massive head injuries after a truck's flat bed sheared off and hurtled into his car.
The 25-year-old, who was travelling with his fiancée - who escaped unharmed - was the lead singer in a band called 'Transit' with his mother, Carrey's sister.
He was on his way to his mum's house, close to where Carrey grew up, when he was killed.
Ironically, the pair had been planning to practice a new song called 'Tiny Tragedies'.
Marty was also due to get married next month.
