Mariah Carey is set to star in her first ever TV advert.
The superstar singer - who has been offered glamorous ad campaigns in the past - is to become the unlikely new face of Intel.
Carey will promote the Intel Centrino Duo - a state of the art computer chip.
A source is quoted in Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "Mariah is asked to do commercials every day but when she heard that Lucy Liu, Seal and John Cleese had all done the Intel adverts, she agreed."
Meanwhile, Mariah has been hotly-tipped to star in new movie 'Tennessee' - despite being labelled a bad actress.
The songstress - who failed to impress in her 2001 big screen debut 'Glitter' - has been lined up to play a waitress who joins two brothers on a mission to find their father.
Mariah, who was once named the third worst rock star/actor of all time, will start shooting in New Mexico and Tennessee this spring if she wins the role.
