Police took actor Nicolas Cage into custody at the weekend, after a public fight with his wife, Alice Kim.
The 47-year-old was arrested after witnesses saw him arguing with his wife in the street while "heavily intoxicated".
Onlookers told officers that they saw Cage "push" Alice during the alleged dispute in New Orleans.
A police statement described the incident, saying Cage and his wife:
"Were standing in front of a residence that he insisted was the property the couple was renting.
"She disagreed, and Cage grabbed her by the upper arm and pulled her to what he believed was the correct address."
Concerned onlookers then flagged down a passing police car and an officer took the actor into custody.
Cage was charged with one count of domestic violence and one count of public drunkenness.
He was released on 17 April, after his $11,000 bail was posted by celebrity bounty hunter, Duane 'Dog' Chapman.
Duane and his wife Beth, who are best known for appearing in their popular television series, Dog the Bounty Hunter, run a bail bonds company from their home in Hawaii.
Cage is yet to make an official statement regarding his arrest.
