Bullock states divorce plans

Sandra Bullock has revealed that she has secretly adopted a newborn baby and will also to divorce her husband, according to People magazine.

The Oscar winner, 45, adopted a boy named Louis, three months ago.

She and her disgraced husband Jesse James had actually began the adoption process four years ago.

However the couple separated in March after James was accused of having an affair, just after Bullock won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in 'The Blind Side'.

Bullock confirmed to the magazine that she had begun divorce proceedings.

In an exclusive interview with the magazine, Bullock said she was adopting Louis as a single parent following the breakdown of her marriage.

Of her divorce proceedings, Bullock said: "I'm sad and I am scared."

Reports have previously been published that James had an affair with a tattoo model, while other women have also come forward.

In a statement, the reality TV star later apologised saying he was "truly very sorry for the grief" he had caused his wife and family, but did defend himself stating that "the vast majority" of the allegations reported were "untrue and unfounded".

The edition of People magazine is published in America on Friday.
