Jennifer Lopez was covered in bruises by Jane Fonda in new movie 'Monster-in-Law'.

The diva has revealed she had to have bags of ice on standby to sooth her wounds - because all the slaps were real.

She confessed: "Jane pushes my face in a cake and punches me in bed. All of the slaps were real, and a lot of bags of ice were needed."

Jennifer added how she was star struck on meeting Fonda.

The sexy diva said she used to work out to the Oscar winner's '80s exercise videos - and felt small when they were introduced for the first time.

J.Lo said of the 67-year-old in an interview with Britain's Independent Review magazine: "I couldn't be scared, and I had to gain her respect.

"I had butterflies in my stomach. But at the end of the day, I had to bring to the table what they were paying me for."
