Pierce Brosnan has said that he wants Keira Knightley as the next Bond girl - rather than Britney Spears.
When asked about reports linking sexbomb Spears as his new leading lady he laughed it off.
"It's a rumour! I know nothing of it," he commented.
"I don't involve myself in the rumours of Bond and I try to stay occupied with other films when I'm not doing it, but Britney, no."
But when he was asked about "Pirates of the Caribbean" stunner Knightley he was more positive:
"Keira Knightley maybe. She is a fantastic talent - if you know what I mean!"
Brosnan, 50, has so far played alongside Halle Berry, Denise Richards, Teri Hatcher, and Lucy Liu in his role as the world's most famous secret agent.
If she does land the role, Knightley, 19, would become the youngest Bond girl in history.
Brosnan also confirmed he would be making one more appearance in his fifth James Bond film due out next November.
However, he added: "It's time to move on after this one."
