Brooke Shields is pregnant with her second child.

The stunning actress and her husband, Chris Henchy, are become parents again in the spring, her publicist has confirmed.

Brooke's decision to have another baby comes after she suffered post-natal depression following the birth of her two-year-old daughter, Rowan.

The sexy star has spoken openly about battle with the condition and even published the book, 'Down Came The Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression', to help other mothers cope.

Brooke was even left feeling suicidal, saying: "I really didn't want to live anymore I was looking out of a window and I just thought, 'I just want to leap out of my life.'"

She was later publicly slammed by Hollywood actor Tom Cruise for admitting to using prescription drugs to overcome her depression.

However, Brooke hit back at the star's criticism, saying at the time: "If any good can come of Mr. Cruise's ridiculous rant, let's hope that it gives much-needed attention to a serious disease."

Last month, the actress - who wed husband Chris in 2001 - told chat show host Oprah Winfrey she was desperate to extend her family, saying: "I've always wanted more than one child."
