Britney loses wedding ring

Britney Spears has been pictured without her wedding ring - sparking speculation her marriage could be heading for the rocks.

The pop babe, who wed former dancer Kevin Federline last September, made no attempt to hide her bare wedding finger as she went shopping in California.

Sources claim the singer has been having blazing rows with Kevin over his recent 27th birthday celebrations.

One said: "Britney was upset because she wanted to spend his birthday together - just the two of them. But instead he invited his friends to come and stay."

The sexy star is now reportedly staying in a hotel while Kevin entertains his friends at their Malibu mansion.

The source added: "Britney isn't really interested in hanging around with them."

However, Britney's spokesman insisted the couple weren't having problems, saying: "I don't know why she isn't wearing her ring but everything is fine between Britney and Kevin. They're not splitting up."

Britney, who has made no secret of her desire to start a family with Kevin, recently slammed reports her marriage was in trouble, claiming their relationship was stronger than ever.

She said at the time: "We're going to be together for ever. We know that, and that's the only thing that matters."
