With Adele being cut short during her speech at the Brit Awards last year, we can’t wait to see what will happen at the BRIT Awards 2013. Taking place on Wednesday evening at the O2 Arena, James Corden is expected to host the awards ceremony for another year.
With the British music industry seeing many new faces, the talent pool is brimming with choice when it comes to who we want to listen to these days.
One lady who is in the music spot light these days is Emeli Sande, and reportedly the singer is up for a few BRITS this year. This includes Best British Female Solo Artist (with Amy Winehouse and Paloma Faith among others also being in this category), as well as Best Album.
Singer Emeli, who is popularly known for the song “Read All About It”, had huge success with her album Our Version Of Events last year. Not only that, but you may recognise Emeli from her performance at London’s 2012 Olympic event.
And UK folk group Mumford and Sons are also on the list for a coveted BRIT award, as they have received nominations for British Live Act as well as British Album Of The Year.
When it comes to the Best British Single award the nominees include; X-Factor star James Arthur, for “Impossible”, Emeli Sande, with “Next To Me”, new dad Robbie Williams, for his song “Candy” as well as Olly Murs ft. Flo Rida, with “Troublemaker”.
The likes of Rita Ora and also Adele are also nominated for this gong.
