Brad Pitt has revealed that he and his fiancee Angelina Jolie will not marry until same sex marriage is allowed in the US.
The actor was speaking at this year's Cannes Film Festival, where he is promoting his latest film, Killing Them Softly.
At a photocall at the event on 23 May, the 48-year-old star said:
"We truly have no [wedding] date.
"I'm still hoping we'll figure out our marriage equality in the States before then."
Brad was unaccompanied on the red carpet, as his wife-to-be was preparing for an upcoming film role, according to reports.
Pitt has been a supporter of same-sex marriage, telling Esquire magazine in 2006 that he would only marry Angelina when everyone in America is legally able to wed. He reaffirmed his stance to both Parade in 2009 and People magazine in July of 2011.
The couple and parents of six announced their engagement in April 2012.
