Angelina Jolie's romance with Brad Pitt is serious - according to her friends.

Close pals of the 'Tomb Raider' beauty have confirmed that the couple are enjoying a romance and claim that both Angelina and Brad are keen for the relationship to develop long-term because they have so much in common.

A source said: "She's not a girlie girl at all and that's fine by Brad and I think Angelina feels that she's met a man that she can love and depend on.

"She was devastated when her ex, Billy Bob Thornton, turned his back on her and left her alone with Maddox. She never thought she'd be able to trust a man on that level again. But she feels God answered her prayers when he brought Brad into her life."

Insiders have also revealed that Brad has passed the lilo-lipped lovely's biggest test.

Friends of the Oscar-winning beauty say the 41-year-old actor gets on famously with her adopted son, Maddox, and claim the tot even asks after the heartthrob star when he's not around.

The source added: "Maddox is Angelina's number one priority and few people get past that hurdle."
