It has been reported that Susan Boyle's performance on America's Got Talent, which was viewed by 25 million, was not live, as the show would suggest.
Sources claim that her rendition of the Rolling Stones classic ballad 'Wild Horses' was actually pre-recorded as the producers were concerned about her ability to cope with the pressure of a live broadcast.
An America's Got Talent insider stated: "Given SusanÂ’s history, no-one was taking chances. It was a sensible precaution to get her songs in the can.
"It took the pressure off her and enabled her to relax and give her best in front of her biggest-ever audience."
Boyle had broken down after finishing in an unexpected second place on 'Britain's Got Talent' after losing out to dance act Diversity.
She then recuperated in the Priory clinic as she struggled to deal with fame. She has since gone on to become an international music sensation, thanks to her operatic vocal range.
Her debut album, 'I Dreamed a Dream' will be available from November 24. It is predicted to hit No 1.
