Blaire disappointed with UK Syria vote

Tony Blaire said that he does not agree with UK Parliament’s decision not to take military action against Syria.

Tony Blaire has said that he was disappointed with UK’s decision not to take military action against Assad regime in Syria after chemical weapons were allegedly used to kill dozens of civilians. He also said that UK is hesitant to intervene in Syria given the aftermath of the invasion in Iraq.

Meanwhile, former cabinet minister Ben Bradshaw said that several Labour MPS were uneasy that Britain only has limited options after last week’s vote.

He said: "We were not voting to support Britain taking part in immediate military action, but nor were we voting to rule it out completely. Neither were most Conservatives or Liberal Democrats.”

On the other hand, Labour former deputy Prime Minister Lord Prescott disagrees with Tony Blair. He said that although he has always have respect for the Mr Tony, he thinks that he is wrong on Syria and that Ed Miliband is right.

In the end, Mr Blair reiterated that although he knows that it is difficult for political leaders to make a decision on the matter, his position on the subject matter is pretty clear over a long period of time. He told BBC News: "This is something where I just have to disagree with the leadership of the party.

"I know it's a difficult position for political leaders to be put in when they've got to take decisions like this, but my position on these issues is pretty clear over a long period of time."
